Hello Everyone!!!

Hello everyone!!  Hope everyone is well!!!   I am sorry I have not blogged in awhile, been a bit busy.  I am going to try to blog each day!!  Anyone seen any good movies lately?   From Red Box we rented "Death at a Funeral"  It is hilarious!!  To me it seemed like they did a lot of ad lib, What a great cast!!!   James Marsden, his character was given a "Valium" which ended up being a acid and he was having hallucinations.  Watching his hallucinations was very funny, he really did a great job.   Really great cast!!! It has Danny Glover, and Chris Rock and Tracy Morgan and Luke Wilson, just to name a few.  If you want a good laugh please rent this movie!  I found out that this is a remake of the  British "Death at a Funeral" 2007 and cant wait to see that one and Peter Dinklage was in the original British 2007 movie and plays the same character in both movies.

Good Morning all!  Hope everyones day is well!

My husband and I were flipping through the channels and we came across tcm channel (http://www.tcm.com/) and he said "oh this is a classic" I said that I have never heard of this movie before. 

The cast of the movie: Great Cast!

Burt Lancaster (From Here to Eternity, Field of Dreams, Airport)

Don Rickles( as they say the man is a comic genius, Toy Story 1, 2 and 3 Mr. Potato Head, was in several tv shows such as Murphy Brown, Newhart, Sanford and Son and The Don Rickles Show)

Clark Gable (Gone with the Wind, Casablanca, It Happened One Night)

Jack Warden (Heaven Can Wait, Used Cars, tv Crazy Like a Fox).

This is a war movie (WWII) where Burt Lancaster (Lt. Jim Bledsoe) and Clark Gable (Cmdr. 'Rich' Richardson) they disagree on how to approach getting even with the japanese destroyer that previously sunk Cmdr Richardsons previous sub.

OVERBOARD......check it out if you have not seen it!! You wont be sorry!!

Remember Overboard with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell?  It is a classic!!  I remember seeing this in the movie theater when it first came out, and I paid $1.50 for a matinee price!  The same movie theater is now a "discount theater" and all the seats are $2.00 anytime!  LOL!  

Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn have been together for years but never married.  They are just the cutest couple!!

"Wholly Moses!"

"Wholly Moses!" with Dudley Moore and James Coco, Richard Pryor, Laraine Newman and many more.  I think this movie is hilarious!  Funny lines, slap stickish.  My family and I were discussing the movie and we decided its kinda of like a Monty Python meets Mel Brooks.  Reading the information today on http://www.imdb.com/  thats what its says that "Wholly Moses" was probably inspired by the Monty Pythons "Life of Brian!" my family is so smart!!!

Hello!  Happy Tuesday! Looking at http://www.imdb.com/ it shows list of actor/actress bday.  Among the few were listed was Sylvester Stallone it says he is 64 he sure looks good for 64!!!You go Rambo!!  He has a new movie coming out with an allstar cast , looks like its going to be a great movie!!

last wednesday of june

My husband got "Rooster Cogburn" movie in the 5 dollar bin at "wal mart".  The Movie with John Wayne and Katharine Hepburn.  This movie as I understand is the sequel to "True Grit".  So my husband was researching the movie on the http://www.imdb.com/ and saw that the Cohen Brothers are actually doing a remake of "True Grit" with Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon.  Sounds like it will be a good cast!!!  Two great actors!!!  Cant wait to see it!  For more info check out http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1403865/

Boomtown Rats Monday

Happy Monday!!

Everyone remember the 80's?...........Remember the "Boomtown Rats" and the song "I Hate Mondays"..   My family and friends make fun of me when I mention them.  They kid me and say you are making that up.  LOL!  So When we dont know the name of an artist we say "Boomtown Rats", LOL!

When I was looking them up to show my oldest daughter, I read about that song.  I had NO Idea that it was about a tradgedy!!!   So Sad!!  So I see why the song is "I Hate Mondays".   So  another Monday song....by the Mamma's and the Pappa's .........."Monday Monday".   or the Bangles " Manic Monday"............

Well today there seems to be a lot of good movies on tv.  We just watched "Uncle Buck" on ABC Family station.  Its another John Hughes classic!  This movie is very funny!  I Love when "Uncle Buck" makes the large pancake, LOL!!!   The car he drove is just ..........LOL  I think we have all owned a car that was "unique"....  If you have a chance to watch this movie, please do you wont be sorry.  I think
"Wal-Mart" may have it in the 5-10 dollar bin.  Until tomorrow!

I think "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" is one of my favorite movies...  I like to say its my favorite!!  Talk about quotable!!!!

Good Afternoon and welcome to Thursday!

Well I just turned on the tv and a movie was just starting...............remember Napoleon Dynamite! Talk about a quotable movie!  Don't get my kids started on this one!!!   LOL just joking!   They have every line  down. its hilarious!!    "What are you gonna do today Napoleon......wahtever I want sheeesh!"  "your mom goes to college"    and  " build her a cake or something"    "I like your sleeves they are real big" .......When this movie came out my daughters drew on a blank paper with all the quotes and even drew a liger and a carton of milk (2%) , etc.  I still have it to this day!  I need to frame it!!! 

If you have seen this movie its is always worth seeing again!  To think that it was made on a low budget and made lots of money!!   If you have never seen the movie its a must see!!

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday.........Lets say "Waterboy Wednesday".....   If you are a Adam Sandler fan, ..............."Waterboy" is hilarious!!!  Great cast, and you gotta love how he always uses the same actors in all his movies.............that is loyalty to his friends!  There are so many Adam Sandler movies its hard to pick a favorite.   His movies are very quotable!  I Love quotable movies.  My family and I can have an entire conversation with movie quotes.  LOL!!   One of the quotes in Waterboy is "coach kline said I could!"  "Captin Insano shows no mercy"  and many more.  speaking of another one of his movies....."Big Daddy" when my family and I pass spaghettios we always have to say "Microsoft fell 3 points".......  and when we pass the frozen food section........."dont go into the frozen food section ..........."  and many many more.... I am sure there will be another blog later on another Adam Sandler movie......I cant wait to see "Grownups!".......................until then.......

Welcome to Tuesdays blog.  Since we are heading towards our arizona monsoon season, i just thought the title would be funny!!!  Tropic Thunder I thouht was a very funny movie, it has a great cast, with Ben Stiller, Jack  Black, Robert Downey Jr, etc.   Great quotable lines and if you enjoy parodies on war movies, and Forrest Gump, you will love this movie I promise!!!!

Welcome to Monday

Hello and welcome to Monday!  I think the appropriate movie for Monday would be "Office Space"!
That has to be by far the best movie about working in an office !!!!  What are your favorite movie quotes of Office space?  I have several but the time they were in traffic and the elderly gentelman walking with his walker was going faster then the cars, if you have ever been stuck in traffic you can certainly appreciate that.  especially when you change lanes and the lane you just changed from moves up.  LOL!

HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO ALL DADS!

Last night my husband and I went to his mom and dad's to take dad his fathers day gift.  We got him a card/dvd.  The DVD was the  "the Good the Bad and the Ugly".  The outside of the dvd is the card that says "the Good the Dad and the DVD."  very cute Idea!  they had many other movies like this too!  But dad didnt have this movie!  I have never seen the movie before (shocking a movie i have never seen before, lol)!!!  It was really good!!!  Gotta Love Clint Eastwood!!!  I was just reading on MSN 10 top things that dad's have said and one of them was you cant go wrong with Clint Eastwood!  I agree he is awesome!!!

So happy fathers day to all dads present and future dads!!!  And dad's that have passed on we miss you terribly and you live in our hearts forever!!!

Another 80's favorites of mine are movies with John Cusack whom is my favorite actor !!!!!  The Sure Thing and Better off Dead and Say Anything!!!  My husband and I were watching some tv tonight and a movie I never saw with John Cusack and James Spader were in it (it was a 1990) Called True Colors .  I never saw this movie, it was pretty good.  After all it had John Cusack in it!!!!  And of course later movies Americas Sweethearts is another good one and he was in that with Kathern Zeta Jones which they were in together in High Fidelity, Serendipity.  Hot tub time machine and 2012!  What is your favorite John Cusack movie?

As i previously mentioned Ferris Buellers Day off is my favorite movie (its my most favorite) , but there are so many other favorites.......  not enough time to mention all the movies and quotes.   

Another is Sixteen Candles!  I am an 80's teen child!  I love the movies from the 80's and I am so glad my children love them too!!  they even know the quotes!!!!  Pretty in Pink!!!  I Love Duckie!!!!! and Breakfast Club!  Weird Science!!!

ANOTHER quote from ferris buellers day off....the tearcher says ............BUELLER?...BUELLLER.......BUELLER?   .........simone  says ."'um he's sick, my bestfriends sisters brothers girlfriend heard from this guy who saw ferris pass out at 31 flavors last night......guess its pretty serious.!!!"   teacher says " thank you simon" and she says " no problem whatsoever!" and then you hear  the teacher say "frye, frye, frye......"  and then birds tweeting (tweet, tweet, tweet).

this is hard for me my favorite movie quote, i have so MANY!!   favorite movie, is Ferris Buellers Day Off!  Such a quotable movie.  .....    I like the scene when they are in the restaurant and the waiter says............ "You are Abe Froman..... the sausage king of Chicago?"  and Ferris says "Are you suggesting I'm not who I say I am?"  lol!  also "I love driving it, its so choice! if you have the means is highly suggest picking one up!"  .....(and then he whispers "mint").   LOL! 

I think life is kinda like that sometimes, if you have the means ...........my father use to say after he had retired about him and mom (sadly he has passed, i miss him terribly) he said when we were younger we had the means but not the time but now that we have the time we dont have the means.........  its true, its like that saying, there is not enough month at the end of the money!!!!

But i think the best "means' is family, if we didnt have family life would not have any "means".  With Family and God you are rich!!!   Know what I mean!!!!
